World Book Day is celebrated all over the world to appreciate writers and to encourage the reading culture in children. It usually takes place on the first Thursday in the month of March, but at Lakeland School, it is marked a day after, which is the first Friday in March.
This is an annual event that showcases the knowledge and skills the learners have acquired in a particular subject. This is demonstrated both in theory and practice by the learners.
This is an annual event where learners represent their various teams (Blue Birds, Green Griffins, Red Rhinos and Yellow Yaks) to engage in competitive sporting activities.
Lakeland School is established on the foundation of the Christian faith. Therefore, the school organises an annual Christmas concert which provides an avenue for learners to showcase their skills in music and also their artistry prowess.
This is an annual event, a day set aside to reward excellence. We celebrate outstanding performance in various categories and also reward learners’ efforts. The graduating pupils in Year Six (6) are also celebrated on this day.
This is usually done at the middle of the term. Parents come in to assess their children’s work, discuss areas of concern with the various teachers and also discuss ways in which the school and the home can work together to enhance the child's overall progress.
